Marc's Run
“Live your life in honor of their sacrifice”
Marc Lee was the first Navy SEAL KIA in Iraq, he passed on August 2, 2006. His mother Debbie Lee operates America's Mighty Warriors, providing much needed medical, psychological and spiritual programs for veterans and Gold Star families.
Everyday we send our very best to fight for our freedom. Unfortunately, these heroes and their families are not provided with the quality of care or respect they deserve by their fellow Americans or the systems that continue to fail them. My wife, myself and our children have all served and feel strongly about giving back to the community that gives us so much.
We are humbled and honored to partner with Debbie in support of her vision and to show our gratitude for the gift of freedom provided by our military service men and women. All profits derived from registration fees for this event will be presented to Debbie and America's Mighty Warriors on behalf of a grateful "ultra-running nation". If you wish to contribute regularly, please go to www.americasmightywarriors.org to donate directly.
If you are lucky enough to meet Debbie on race day, do me a favor … thank her for raising a hero, thank her for Marc's sacrifice, thank her for her sacrifice, tell her your eyes have been opened to reality that so many heroes are living through, tell her you wont forget … tell her you'll “live your life in honor of their sacrifices”. Tell her you love her.
Love and kindness go much further than you think.
Bring your flags, patriotic gear and the Great American Spirit of adventure and true grit! This is going to be a very special event - we look forward to seeing you at The Crooked Mile supporting the veteran community, our toops and their families!
